City Senate

The City Senate consists of the Mayor, his or her two deputies and the city councillors. It currently has seven members. Seats are allocated according to the number of seats held on the Municipal council. The City Senate generally meets once a week; its meetings are not open to the public. The City Senate may decide on certain matters independently, whilst in other areas it acts in an advisory capacity to the Municipal council.
