Over 90 teachers currently teach 4,000 music students at the Innsbruck Music School. In addition to lessons in instrumental subjects, early music education and the singing school, the music school offers a variety of free ensembles and supplementary subjects.
Important information for the start of school 2023/2024
The result of the newly admitted students for the winter semester 2023/2024 will be announced by posting in the music school and here on the website.
We are trying to accept as many students as possible and ask for your understanding!
Open Day
Children, parents and all those interested in music are cordially invited to the "Open Day" to get to know and try out instruments.
The next "Open House" will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the premises of the Music School.

History
200 years ago, on June 2, 1818, the Verein zur Beförderung der Tonkunst (Association for the Promotion of Musical Art) was founded in Innsbruck with an associated music school. The commemorative publication "200 Jahre Musikverein. Music School. Conservatory" of the Innsbruck City Archives shows the history of the institution.
