A new Freedom of Information Act will come into force in Austria on September 1, 2025. It ends the previous official secrecy and strengthens the fundamental right of access to information.
Actively informing the population of the city and acting transparently is always a fundamental part of our daily work.
Thisdoes not apply to information for which there are overriding public or private reasons for secrecy - such as the protection of national security, ongoing proceedings or personal data.
