Children's choir of the music school

Direction: Arnold Mayr-Halamek BA

For children of elementary school age who are enthusiastic about singing, there is the free Children's Choir of the Music School under the direction of Arnold Mayr-Halamek BA. The choir is a supplement to the Singing School.

The children sing lively new and old children's songs as well as atmospheric and cheerful folk songs. The children present what they have learned at the summer festival and carnival concert of the Innsbruck Music School

Who can participate?

All children of the second to fourth grades of the "Singing Schools" as well as the children of the following elementary schools can join the Children's Choir of the Music School free of charge:

When does the children's choir rehearse?

The rehearsals of the children's choir always take place on school days on Thursdays from 16:45 to 18.00 in the orchestra rehearsal room of the music school (room 801).

Youth choir of the music school

Direction: Susanne Langbein

Singers between the ages of twelve and 20 are welcome to join the music school's free youth choir. It is open not only to pupils of the music school but to all young people interested in choral singing.

The choir's repertoire includes pop, jazz and classical music as well as original folk music.

Successes

Previous highlights of the choir include a concert trip to Aalborg (Denmark), participation in the "Klangspuren" festival, participation in the opening of the redesign of the Crystal Worlds, participation in a concert by Lionel Richie and concerts by the Vienna Philharmonic Rock Symphony Orchestra.

When does the youth choir rehearse?

Youth choir rehearsals always take place on school days on Thursdays from 6.15 to 7.30 pm in the orchestra rehearsal room of the music school (room 801).

Where and how can I register my child for the choir?

Please fill out the registration form and send it to the Music School Innsbruck or take it with you to the first choir rehearsal.
