For children of primary school age who love to sing, there is the free children's choir at the music school under the direction of Arnold Mayr-Halamek BA and the children's choir at the Angergasse elementary school under the direction of Mag. Dolores Leitinger BA. The choirs complement the Singing School.

The children sing lively new and old children's songs as well as atmospheric and cheerful folk songs. The children present what they have learned at the Innsbruck Music School's summer festival and carnival concert.

Who can take part?

All children from the second to fourth grades of the singing schools as well as children from the following elementary school can attend the music school's children's choir free of charge:

• Amras Primary School
• Hötting elementary school
• Igls-Vill elementary school
• Inner City Primary School
• Mühlau elementary school
• St. Nikolaus Elementary School
• Sieglanger elementary school

When do the children's choirs rehearse?

The rehearsals of the children's choir at the music school (director: Arnold Mayr Halamek BA) always take place on school days on Thursdays from 4.45 to 6.00 pm in the orchestra rehearsal hall of the music school (room 801).

The rehearsals of the children's choir at the Angergasse elementary school (director: Mag. Dolores Leitinger BA) always take place on school days on Tuesday from 5.10 to 6.00 pm

Where and how can I register my child for the choir?

Please fill out the registration form and send it to the Music School Innsbruck or take it with you to the first choir rehearsal.
