For primary school-aged children who love to sing, there is the free children’s choir at the Music School, conducted by Arnold Mayr-Halamek BA, and the children’s choir at Angergasse Primary School, conducted by Mag. Dolores Leitinger BA. The choirs complement the ‘Singing School’ programme.

The children sing lively new and traditional children’s songs, as well as atmospheric and cheerful folk songs. The children perform what they have learnt at the summer festival and the carnival concert organised by the Innsbruck Music School.

Who can take part?

All children in Years 2 to 4 of the Singing Schools, as well as children from the following primary schools, can join the Music School’s children’s choir free of charge:

• Sieglanger Primary School

When do the children’s choirs rehearse?

Rehearsals for the children’s choir at the Music School (conductor: Arnold Mayr Halamek BA) always take place on school days, on Thursdays from 4.45 pm to 6.00 pm in the Music School’s orchestra rehearsal room (Room 801).

Rehearsals for the children’s choir at Angergasse Primary School (conducted by Mag. Dolores Leitinger BA) are always on school days, on Tuesdays from 5.10 pm to 6.00 pm.

Where and how can I register my child for the choir?

Please fill out the registration form and send it to the Music School Innsbruck or take it with you to the first choir rehearsal.
