Inn Seit'n Big Band

In 2008/09, Christian Wegscheider and Thomas Steinbrucker founded the Inn Seit’n Big Band at the Innsbruck Music School.

This allows pupils to try their hand at jazz and popular music alongside the orchestras. Christian Wegscheider initially moulded the young members into a team under the name Big Band Innsbruck Youngsters. From 2013 until the end of the 2022/23 academic year, Thomas Steinbrucker took over as director. Since September 2023, Raphaela Selhofer and Christian Wegscheider have been leading the band together.

Achievements

The Inn Seit’n Big Band can look back on a large number of concerts and performances in Tyrol and Germany. Regular fixtures during the school year include the Christmas concerts at the Christmas markets and the concerts at the Treibhaus in Innsbruck.

The Inn Seit’n Big Band also creates a lively atmosphere at balls and other dance events with a specially curated dance programme.
