If you are an Austrian citizen and your main residence is in Austria, you can apply for a certificate of citizenship at any registry office in Austria. In some cases, however, your data must first be entered. Therefore, we ask you to contact the registry office Innsbruck in advance by phone or e-mail.
Persons who do not have their main residence in Austria will receive the proof of citizenship from the respective Austrian representative authority.

How much does a proof of citizenship cost?
There is a fee of 39.60 euros for issuing a proof of citizenship. In the course of the birth certification, your child will receive the citizenship certificate free of charge.
