If you are an Austrian citizen and your main residence is in Austria, you can apply for a certificate of citizenship at any registry office in Austria. There is a fee of 39.60 euros for issuing a proof of citizenship. In the course of the birth certification, your child will receive the citizenship certificate free of charge.
