Where can I get a confirmation of life?
You can obtain a confirmation of life from the Citizens' Service.
How do I get a confirmation of residence?
- You must have your main residence in Innsbruck.
- You must come to Referat Citizen service and lost property service in person.
- If you are unable to do so, a trusted person can do this for you. To do this, they also need a confirmation of residence from the hostel or a doctor's confirmation (doctor's confirmation must not be older than 3 days).
- You will need:
- 2.10 euros for the administration fee (ATM and cash payment possible)
- a photo ID (passport, identity card or driver's license)
- a letter from the office requesting the confirmation of life

The personal data will be deleted after the death of the person concerned. The provision of the personal data is necessary for the issuance of the confirmation of life.
