What is funded?
Every year, the City of Innsbruck sponsors the winning film in the category "Best Documentary Film", which is awarded at the IFFI.
Who awards the prize?
City of Innsbruck
Since 1992, films from Latin America, Africa, South East Asia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe have been shown at the IFFI - International Film Festival Innsbruck (before 1999 America Film Festival or Cinevision). Over the six days of the festival, feature films and documentaries from regions and on topics that are underrepresented in global cinema networks will be shown in around 60 programme items. Films by local filmmakers will also be shown.
How do I apply?
Documentary filmmakers who work on the themes of the Innsbruck International Film Festival (IFFI) are eligible to apply.

A three-member independent, international jury.
