Every October, all the residents of Innsbruck who are celebrating their seventieth birthday that year are invited to a big “thank you” celebration. The event is not only Innsbruck’s way of congratulating the new septuagenarians but also of paying tribute to all the city’s elder citizens and of maintaining personal contact.
