YOUTH PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA OF THE INNSBRUCK MUSIC SCHOOL

The Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the Innsbruck Music School conducted by Walter Enko is a string orchestra for the middle and senior school.

It was founded in 2005 and made its debut at the award ceremony for the “Prima la Musica” competition in Innsbruck’s Grosser Stadtsaal in March 2006. Since then the ensemble has performed at the European Forum in Alpbach, the Convention Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Dogana in Innsbruck.

The Youth Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Walter Enko, who can take advantage of his long years of experience as first violinist with the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra for his teaching activities at the Innsbruck Music School.

Rehearsals are on Mondays during term time from 4.50 - 6.30 p.m.
